Privacy statement

What personal data we collect through this site, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.

Effective

Who we are

Westwood International is a leadership and organizational development firm based at 722 South Main St, Stowe, VT 05672, United States. This statement covers the website westwoodintl.com. Work we do for a client is governed by that client's own agreement with us, and the client portal, which runs on a separate address, is not covered by this statement.

If anything here is unclear, write to getstarted@westwoodintl.com or call 802.730.9792. We answer ourselves.

What you send us, and why we keep it

The site has one way to reach us: the enquiry form. A short version sits at the foot of the home page, the full version is on Let's talk, and another is on the page Greg shares at events.

Every version asks for your name and your email address. Depending on the version, it also asks what you are trying to change, your organization and your role. Only Let's talk asks for a phone number, and giving one is optional.

On Let's talk you can also book a 30-minute call with Greg Zlevor. The booking calendar is run by GoHighLevel, the system where we keep our contacts. It asks for your name, your email address and, if you like, a few lines about what you want to discuss; your booking is stored there as a contact and an appointment, and GoHighLevel emails you the confirmation and the reminders.

We use what you send to read your situation, write back and prepare the conversation you asked for. That is the only reason we ask. If we go on to work together, the same details become part of that engagement's records.

When you send the form, we email you a copy of what you sent, so you know it arrived.

If you tick the box on Let's talk for occasional insights and event invitations, we will also use your email address for that, until you unsubscribe. Every message we send that way carries a way to stop them.

A hidden field on the form catches automated submissions. A person never sees it and never fills it in; if it is filled, the message is discarded.

Where an enquiry goes

Each enquiry goes to two companies in the United States that process it on our behalf:

  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), the customer relationship system where we keep our contacts. Your enquiry becomes a contact record, with your message attached to it as a note and your consent choices recorded.
  • Resend, which delivers the enquiry by email to the people on our team who answer it, and sends you the confirmation. Resend keeps a record of each message it delivers for a limited period.

The team's copy lands in our own email, which runs on Microsoft 365. The site is hosted by Vercel. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not pass it to anyone else unless the law requires it.

What your browser sends

Like every website, this one receives your IP address, your browser type and the pages you request. Vercel, our host, keeps these request logs for a short period to run and protect the site.

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It records which pages are viewed, the site that referred you, and your country, device and browser type, and reports them to us only in aggregate. It sets no cookies and does not identify you across sites.

We also use a tracking script from GoHighLevel. It records the page you arrived on, the site that referred you and any campaign tags in the address, so that when you send an enquiry we know what brought you here. It sets one cookie, described in the cookie policy. It does not follow you to other sites.

The booking calendar on Let's talk loads only when you open the "Book a 30-min call" tab. It comes from links.westwoodintl.com, a GoHighLevel service on our own domain, and may store data in your browser to run the booking.

Some pages show a talk hosted on YouTube. Until you press play you see a still image served from this site, and nothing loads from YouTube. When you press play, the player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and from then on YouTube's own privacy policy governs what it collects, which can include data stored in your browser.

Text messages

If you give us a phone number on Let's talk and tick the consent box, we may send you transactional text messages about your request — confirmations and reminders. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out at any time.

The site does not sign you up for marketing text messages, and the booking calendar asks for no phone number. Mobile information and text-message consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and contact records: while we are in conversation or working together, and for up to three years after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • The insights and invitations list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Delivery records kept by Resend: a limited period, set by Resend.
  • Hosting logs: a short period, set by Vercel.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to how we use it. Write to getstarted@westwoodintl.com and we will answer within thirty days. We do not need you to create an account or fill in a form to do this.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place with a data protection law, those rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and the right to withdraw consent, and you may complain to your local supervisory authority. Our providers are in the United States; transfers rest on the contractual safeguards those providers offer.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted or corrected, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms. Residents of other states with privacy laws have the same rights with us, and can use them the same way.

Security, children, other sites

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are read only by the people on our team who answer them, and handled by the providers named above only to deliver and store them. No method of storage is perfect; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you.

The site is written for people at work and is not directed at children under sixteen. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Links to Vimeo, Amazon, LinkedIn and other sites open on those sites, under their own privacy policies. Apart from GoHighLevel's tracking script, its booking calendar and the YouTube player described above, which loads only when you press play, nothing from another site loads here.

Changes

When the site starts collecting something new, this statement changes with it, and the date at the top moves. The current version is always the one published here.
